A version of pesto with a healthy twist, created by my naturopathic doctor friend Jen.

2 cups chopped kale (ribs removed)
½ cup basil leaves
½ cup walnut pieces
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Blend kale, basil, walnuts, olive oil, and garlic in a blender until smooth. Add water for a thinner pesto.n
