Soup to aid in weight loss. From "Eat to Live" by Dr. Fuhrman. Despite the review saying that it couldn't possibly come from this book or this doctor, it was, in fact, copied verbatim from the book.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 cups lentils
1/2 cup barley or 1/2 cup couscous, uncooked
1 large onion, chopped
3 celery ribs, diced
3 carrots, chopped
1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash seasoning mix
6 cups chicken broth (can use water to make it vegan)

Steps:

  • Mix everything in a large pot.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer over low flame for 2 hours.
