DOLMA (COLD) image

Yield multiple dolma

Number Of Ingredients 10

7 onions, chopped
1 cup rice, uncooked
1 cup olive oil
2 tbsp sugar
salt
1 tbsp allspice
1 tsp pepper
pinch cinnamon
1 tbsp pine nuts
3 tbsp currants

Steps:

  • Cook onion in 1 cup boiling water. When water evaporates add oil. Saute onion and add rice. Fry 1 minute. Add everything else and 1 cup boiling water. When water evaporates it's finished. Fill raw peppers and put little piece of tomato skin on top. Put in Dutch oven standing up. Add 1 cup boiling water. Cover twice: first with plate, then with lid. Cook 45 minutes or until no water remains.
