"DILLY BEANS"

I make these every fall with my harvested green beans and fresh dill. they are sooo yummy. good alone of with so many things even in Bloody Marys!!!

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 1/2 cup(s) cider vinegar
2 1/2 cup(s) water
1/4 cup(s) pickling salt
- garlic cloves
- cayenne pepper
- crushed red pepper
- dill heads
- fresh green beans

Steps:

  • pack green beans in pint jars. to each packed jar add: 1 clove garlic 1/8 to 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1/8 to 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes 1 dill head
  • Boil Vinegar, water and salt. Pour hot mixture into packed jars. put on HOT lids. Bring some water to a boil. Process jars 15 minutes in hot water bath
  • I usually leave them for 2 months or so before I eat them so they have plenty of time to pickle. depending on how you pack the jars. this recipe should make 4 pints or so.
