Deep Fried Noodles image

These noodles can be used in any and all of the listed categories. Great to use in place of chow mein noodles or cooked rice great as a snack or appetizer to use with a variety of dips and sauces. I can't remember where I got this recipe- but have been using it a long time.

Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 8

RECIPE ONE:
16 oz packaged narrow or wide , uncooked noodles
vegetable oil for frying
RECIPE TWO:
16 oz package wide noodles cooked
3 Tbsp butter or bacon grease
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp light brown sugar or granulated sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Recipe One: Fry raw noodles in deep, hot fat or oil(360^) until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper. Try not to fry too many at a time so they don't stick together- unless that is how you want them, can break up later.
  • 2. Recipe Two: Melt butter or bacon grease in a large skillet and add cooked noodles. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper and the sugar. Cook over medium high heat stirring to keep noodles separated. Cook until they become crispy and golden brown, watching that they do not burn, but are crispy brown.
