David's quick and easy shrimp dip image

Like many of my recipes I will never really use the same things or quantities each time I make a dish. This shrimp dip is no exception, as the next time I might use blue crab lump meat or maybe even the claw meat... or both! You can use any kind of cheese or blends of cheese you prefer. Number Of Ingredients 13

1 c shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 small cream cheese, 8oz room temperature
1 c monterey jack cheese
2-3 dash(es) worcestershire sauce
1/4 c onion chopped fine
1/4 c celery chopped fine
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp paprika
1-2 Tbsp horseradish
3 Tbsp hellmanns (don't use cheap mayonnaise or miracle whip) no substitute here.
club crackers (i prefer multi-grain) or your favorite kind of crackers

Steps:

  • 1. Gather all of the ingredients and then finely chop shrimp, onions and celery
  • 2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
  • 3. Taste test for seasoning, modify as you see fit, then add cheese.
  • 4. Chill and serve. Bet you can't eat just one cracker full.
