Dan's Ground Chuck Cheeseburger Dinner image

On the second day I was released from the hospital, my husband made dinner as only he was capable of. I sat at the counter as he gathered the spices for me to season the meat, while he prepped the skillet. I seasoned & shaped the burgers & he added them to the skillet along with the onions. He toasted the buns & microwaved the frozen peas. He then sliced the tomatoes, although not perfect as I would have done, but I knew they were sliced with lots of love & care & that's all that really mattered. Buns toasted & made with love nothing could be more gratifying or satisfying. Thanks Dan

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pound(s) lean ground chuck
1 tablespoon(s) steak seasoning
2 teaspoon(s) each paprika & cumin
1 tablespoon(s) each granulated onion & garlic powder
1/3 cup(s) worcestershire sauce
4 slice(s) your favorite cheese
1 large onion peeled & sliced
1 large tomato, cored & sliced
4 - hamburger buns
1 pound(s) frozen green peas

Steps:

  • Although I didn't get pictures of the green peas, both the grilled onions and peas had great flavor. I am sure it is because my husband did the best he could to make a healthy meal for me. I really appreciated that. Most of the spices used for the burgers.
  • Season ground beef with spices and shape into desired number of burgers. I made four.
  • Slice onions into desired thickness.
  • Lightly spray skillet with cooking spray and turn heat to medium high. Add the burgers. Cook until patties begin to brown about 5 or so minutes per side or as desired. Then flip to other side.
  • Add sliced onions to skillet with burgers. Slice tomatoes while burgers cook, my husband did this, then toast the buns if desired. I only had 1/2 of a bun.
  • When burgers are just about done add sliced cheese to each burger as desired.
  • Cook peas in microwave or on stove top as per directions on package. Season with desired spices.
  • Add cooked burgers to plate along with side items and enjoy. That's my plate with the half bun, peas were still in microwave. It was a great dinner because my husband made it with lots of love just for me. ANY MEAL MADE WITH LOVE TASTE BETTER.
