Dakgangjeong - Soy Garlic Fried Chicken - My Korean Kitchen image

Super delicious and crunchy dakgangjeong recipe. Bite sized chicken pieces are double fried and coated with sweet, savory and sticky soy garlic sauce.

Number Of Ingredients 23

900 g boneless chicken thigh fillets ((2 pounds), cut into bite size pieces)
2 Tbsp rice wine
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fine sea salt
1/4 tsp ginger powder
A few cracks ground black pepper
1.5 cups corn starch
cooking oil (for deep frying (I used rice bran oil))
1/4 cups soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp water
2 Tbsp rice wine
1/2 Tbsp minced ginger
1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
A few cracks ground black pepper
3 dried chilies ((optional))
2 green onions ((optional), white part)
2 tsp corn starch
2 tsp water
toasted sesame seeds
green onions (, thinly sliced)
