Cupcake Cones image

Cake batter is baked inside ice cream cones for these fun cupcakes. Let the kids have fun frosting and decorating them with sprinkles.

1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
24 ice cream cones
1 can (16 oz.) ready-to-spread vanilla frosting
1 cup COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
1 Tbsp. rainbow sprinkles

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake batter as directed on package; pour evenly into ice cream cups, filling each cup about half full.
  • Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • Spoon frosting into medium bowl. Add COOL WHIP; whisk until blended. Spoon into resealable plastic bag; cut off one bottom corner of bag. Use to pipe COOL WHIP mixture onto cupcakes to resemble swirled ice cream. Top with sprinkles.
