Cuban Sandwich image

Cubans sandwiches can be hard to come by in Kansas. So i made my own! Enjoy.

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 - orange, juiced
1 - lime, juiced
1 teaspoon(s) cumin
1 teaspoon(s) oregano, dried
1/4 teaspoon(s) red pepper flakes
2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 - bay leaf
1 tablespoon(s) mined garlic
1 pound(s) pork loin, or shoulder
1/2 cup(s) chicken broth
- swiss cheese
- sliced pickles
- mustard
- deli ham
- sub rolls

Steps:

  • Combine juices and seasoning in slow cooker
  • Add pork, pour chicken broth over the top. Cook on high for 4 - 6 hours or low for 6 - 8 hours. It should flake apart once its cooked
  • Place mustard on sub roll, add cheese, ham, pork and pickles
  • Heat a teaspoon of oil or butter in the skillet, place the sandwich on the hot skillet and press with a spatula. Press until the bread it crispy, and brown. I like to press both sides. Enjoy!
