Crème Brûlée image

Give this Crème Brûlée some spicy, slightly citrusy appeal with cinnamon and orange zest. Put this Crème Brûlée under the broiler for a caramelized crust.

3 cups milk, divided
1 cinnamon stick
1 Tbsp. orange zest
2 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 Tbsp. sugar

Steps:

  • Bring 1 cup milk, cinnamon stick and zest to boil in saucepan. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 min. Discard cinnamon stick. Cool milk mixture 10 min.
  • Beat pudding mixes and remaining milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in flavored milk. Whisk in sour cream and ground cinnamon until blended.
  • Pour into 8 (1/2-cup) ovenproof individual bowls or ramekins. Refrigerate 30 min.
  • Heat broiler. Place bowls or ramekins in 13x9 inch pan; fill pan with ice. Sprinkle sugar over dessert, about 1 tsp. each. Broil, 6 inches from heat, 5 to 8 min. or until sugar is caramelized, rotating pan after 3 min. Cool in pan; remove dessert from pan. Let dessert stand at room temperature 10 min. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
