CRUNCHY TOP MACARONI AND CHEESE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups of uncooked elbow macaroni
10 oz. grated cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 ½ qt or 2 qt casserole dish
Salt and pepper
Fun size bag of Ruffles or Fritos crushed

Steps:

  • 1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pour 2 cups of macaroni into boiling salted water. Cook according to package. Pour into colander and rinse with cold water. 2.Spread butter in bottom of dish. Put ½ of the cooked macaroni in dish. Sprinkle evenly with salt and pepper and ½ of the cheese. Pour in the other ½ of the cooked macaroni and add the rest of the cheese evenly over the top to prevent macaroni from drying out. Pour 1 cup of milk over macaroni. Sprinkle crushed ruffles or fritos on top. This makes 6 large servings or 8 medium sized servings. 3.Bake 35-45 minutes. Enjoy!
