Steps:
- Peel the onions and cut them into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Separate the slices into rings.
- Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in a small bowl, dip the onion rings, so they are fully coated, and set them aside.
- Add milk and eggs to the flour mixture and combine well, until the mixture is smooth.
- Dip the onion rings in batter and leave them to drain on a wire rack.
- Put the bread crumbs on a shallow plate. Coat the onion rings with bread crumbs.
- Heat the oil to 365˚F (185˚C) in a deep-fryer. Fry the rings for 2 to 3 minutes, so they become crunchy and golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels, season with salt, and serve.
