You can't rush good cooking & this recipe is no exception. With a bit of prep work & a bit of time in your crock pot, this chicken will be juicy & tender & ready for dinner. Yum!

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 1/2 - 3 pound(s) fryer chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 teaspoon(s) sage, dried or oregano
1 cup(s) all purpose flour
- butter

Steps:

  • Rinse chicken pieces & pat dry.
  • Combine flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder & sage or oregano.
  • Toss chicken pieces with flour mixture to coat.
  • In skillet, heat butter to 1/4" depth & cook chicken over medium high heat until brown.
  • 5.Place browned chicken in crock pot, adding wings first; do not add any liquid.
  • Cover & cook on low setting for 4 - 8 hours.
