Steps:
- Flour meat. In a large skillet brown meat in hot oil. Drain off fat.
- In the bottom of your crock-pot, layer potatoes, carrots, celery, and onion. Sprinkle with beef granules, garlic, basil, and thyme. Add your meat. Pour vegetable juice over meat.
- Cover; cook on low setting for 7 to 8 hours or on high setting for 3 to 4 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender.
