Crispy Garlic Ginger Chicken image

Heres a good Asian/Chinese recipe!

Number Of Ingredients 12

bonless, skinless chicken breasts, cut up
2 Tbsp rice wine or extra dry sherry
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp salt beaten with 1 egg white
3 Tbsp cornstarch
sprinkling of dried chili flakes
2-3 clove garlic, minced
2 inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1-2 tsp sugar
2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2-3 scallions

Steps:

  • 1. Marinate the chicken with rice wine (or sherry),soy sauce and salt for 30 minutes. Beat egg white and cornstarch together till blended and add to the chicken and marinade. Stir to blend and coat chicken pieces completely.
  • 2. In a wok or deep skillet, heat enough oil to deep fry chicken for 4-5 minutes or till golden brown. Remove chicken from pan; set aside. Remove all but 1 TBsp oil from pan. Over medium heat stir fry garlic, ginger, and chili flakes, till fragrant. Quickly add chicken, stir gently to coat; add soy sauce, sugar, and salt to taste. Stir to combine. Remove from pan and dust with sesame seeds. Serve with Rice!
