CREAM CHEESE/EGG WHITE FROSTING image

Yield 1 2-layer cake

Number Of Ingredients 6

2/3 C sugar
2 egg whites (extra large)
1/4 t cream of tartar
1/4 t salt
1/4 t vanilla
1 8 oz. container of whipped cream cheese

Steps:

  • Make sugar syrup by heating sugar with about 3 T of water. Let it cook a while, at least until boiling. Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until stiff. Add hot sugar syrup to egg whites while still beating. Add cream cheese and vanilla and continue beating until blended. Cool in ice bath or fridge until it isn't warm and so runny.
