Cream Cheese Finger Rolls image

The first time I tasted these was at a Christmas party where quite a few little finger foods and delights of the season were being served. These were amazing little rolls with a big cinnamon punch! I asked for the recipe from the friend many years back and she was kind enough to share it with me. You will be amazed to know that these are made with a loaf of store bought sandwich bread! Try these soon! They make a lot and wait for the requests for more!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 - loaf of giant sandwich bread
8 ounce(s) cream cheese (softened)
1 - egg yolk
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1/8 cup(s) sugar
2 stick(s) melted butter
CINNAMON SUGAR MIXTURE
1 cup(s) sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon

Steps:

  • Trim the crust off all slices of bread. Then slightly flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  • Mix the softened cream cheese, the egg yolk, vanilla and sugar together with a hand mixer.
  • Spread each slice with the cream cheese mixture then roll up tightly and cut each slice in half.
  • Roll each piece in melted butter and then in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Place seam side down in a jelly roll pan side by side and placing in fairly tight rows. You can then refrigerate them overnight or bake immediately at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. These are amazing!
