Cranberry Waldorf Salad image

make this a jello mold or put on serving plate cut into squares, this is tasty. nice for Christmas side.

Categories     Gelatin Salads

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 pkg knox unflavored gelatin
1/3 c sugar
1 c boiling water
3 1/2 c cranberry juice cocktail
1 c chopped apple
1/2 c chopped celery
1/2 c chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, mix gelatin and sugar. Add boiling water and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Add cranberry juice; chill till mixture is slightly thickened.
  • 2. Fold in apple, celery and walnuts. Pour into 8" or 9" square pan and chill until firm. To serve, cut into squares.
  • 3. (Of course if you're feeling fancy you can also pour into jello mold and serve whole on the table.)
