CRANBERRY-PEAR SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 bag (12 oz) frozen or fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
pinch salt
2 pears, peeled, cored & diced
2 tsp grated fresh ginger
1 tsp grated lemon peel

Steps:

  • Heat berries, sugar, juice and salt in saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil stirring frequently Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer, 10 min, until berries pop Stir pears, ginger and lemon peel into cranberry mixture; cook, stirring, 1 minute. Cool. (can be made ahead, cover and refrigerate 1 week) makes 3 cups
