COUNTRY APPLE DUMPLINGS image

I make fried apple pies using Mellow Yellow, a soft drink, they are awesome !! This is a compatable recipe I found on allrecipes.com for Apple Dumplings using a can of Mt Dew, it received awesome reviews. I plan to make it soon and wanted to share the recipe with you. I'm sure it is DELICIOUS !!

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 large granny smith apples
2 can(s) 10 oz refrigerated cresent rolls
1 c butter, room temperature
1 1/2 c white sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 can(s) 12 oz mt. dew

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • 2. Peel and core apples, cut into 8 wedges; set aside. Separate Cresent Rolls into triangles. Roll each apple wedge in roll section. Start at the smallest end, pinch to seal and place in baking dish. Using all apple wedges.
  • 3. Melt butter in a small sauce pan, stir in sugar and cinnamon. Heat slowly until sugar melts. Pour over apple dumplings. Pour the Mt Dew over this.
  • 4. Bake 35-45 minutes in the preheated oven until golden brown.
