How to make Copycat Pappadeaux Seafood Restaurant's Key Lime Pie

Number Of Ingredients 9

For the Crust:
1 1/4 cups of Graham Cracker Crumbs
3 tablespoons of Sugar
1/3 cup of butter
For the Filling:
2 cans of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup of sour cream
3/4 cup key lime juice
1 - 2 tablespoons grated lime zest

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Make the crust by combining the graham cracker crumbs and sugar, melt the butter and mix together.
  • Press grainy combination against the bottom and sides of a pie dish
  • Grate the skin of a lime untl you have 1 - 2 tablespoons (depending on how "limey" you like it!)
  • In a medium bowl, combine condensed milk, sour cream, lime juice, and lime rind.
  • Mix well and pour into graham cracker crust.
  • Bake in preheated oven for about 8 minutes, until tiny pinhole bubbles burst on the surface of pie. Do not overcook or get even close to brown!
  • Chill pie thoroughly before serving
  • Garnish with whip cream and limes, or however desired!
