Number Of Ingredients 13

3 large baking potatoes
1 stalk(s) celery
1 cup(s) baby carrots
2 small chicken bouillon cubes
1 cup(s) water
4 cup(s) milk
1/2 cup(s) flour
1 cup(s) sour cream
1 package(s) turkey bacon
2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1/4 cup(s) butter
1 small onion

Steps:

  • Chop up the vegetables first.
  • Then, chop up turkey bacon also.
  • Microwave 3 large baking potatoes, one at a time with two very wet paper towels on top of each potato as it cooks for nine minutes each.
  • Let cool then peel and cut into very large chunks. Set aside.
  • Use medium size soup pot, add to the butter, all vegetables, and turkey bacon. Simmer and keep stirring for seven to ten minutes until tender.
  • Have a boiling cup of water ready with two chicken bullion cubes added in it to melt.
  • First, stir in the 1/2 cup flour.
  • Then the cup of broth.
  • Next, add 4 cups of milk and 1 cup sour cream.
  • Now add the potatoes, salt, and pepper. Put stove on low and heat until all is good and hot. Keeping on low heat as this is a rich soup.
  • Enjoyed this all by itself. I did not even add bread, crackers or cheese to this one. Hope you enjoy!
