Easy and old fashion delicious. This recipe has been around the family for about forty years. We don't know where it came from but I come from a family of southern cooks.

Steps:
- 1. Cut steak into 4 pieces
- 2. Coat steaks with flour, salt and pepper. I usually put the salt, pepper and flour into a plastic bag, add steak to coat.
- 3. Dip steak into egg
- 4. Dip steak into flour (save remaining flour)
- 5. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat
- 6. When oil is hot, add steak and brown on both sides
- 7. Add water and onion
- 8. Cover and simmer for one hour
- 9. Drain excess fat from skillet
- 10. Remove steak from skillet
- 11. Add 1/4 cup seasoned flour mixed with milk
- 12. Stir until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
- 13. Serve gravy over steak
