COCONUT SOUR CREAM TORTE image

Number Of Ingredients 12

Cake
2 sticks softened butter
2 c. sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
3 1/4 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Filling
2 c. Sour cream
2 c. Sugar
1 14-oz. package shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Combine butter and sugar. beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix together cake flour and B.P. Add cake flour and milk alternately to butter mixture. Bake cake in 2 round cake pans (greased and floured) for 30 min. at 350 degrees. When cooled, cut each cake in half horizontally. Put filling in between each layer and on top ( do not frost sides).
