Cinnamon Pecan French Toast Casserole image

Number Of Ingredients 11

10 slices texas toast white bread
2 cups half and half or milk
6 l eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoon butter, chilled

Steps:

  • Cup bread into 1 inch cubes and place in a greased 9/13 casserole dish. Prepare the topping by combining brown sugar, flour cinnamon and salt in a bowl and whishing to distribute ingredients well.
  • Cut burter into small cubes and add to dry ingredients. Msh in with a fork. Stir in pecans. Cover and place in fridge.
  • In a medium bown whish together milk, eggs, vanillal, sugar and cinnamon. Pour over bread in the casserole dish. Cover and chill overnight.
  • Nest morning preheat oven to 350. Uncover topping bowl and casserold dish. ASptinkle topping over the soaked bread mixture. Bake uncovered for 35-45 minutes until golden and bred is baked through.
