Cilantro/Garlic Ranch Dressing image

I got this recipe from my sister in law, I am not sure where she got the recipe. It is my new favorite recipe for dressing. It is especially good on a mexican taco salad type dish-my favorite includes shredded pork, black beans, tomatoes, lettuce and this dressing. Mmmmm... Serving size is a guess, since some people like to put a few tablespoons on their salad and some people like to put half a cup on. :) Should produce about 2 cups of dressing-I think.

Time 15m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (1/2 ounce) package ranch dressing mix (or whatever the reg. size is)
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 cup mayonnaise (or 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream)
1 cup fresh cilantro
2 garlic cloves
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. It is good right away, but it is excellent the longer it sits in the fridge to mingle flavors.
