CHRISTMAS BUTTER TOFFEE image

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup butter
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Cook sugar, salt, water and butter to light crack stage (285 degrees). Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts and pour into greased cookie sheet. Cool. Melt chocolate chips. Spread half on top of cooled toffee and sprinkle with 1/2 cup nuts. Let harden. Then turn and repeat with remaining chocolate and nuts. Cool and cut into pieces.
