1/2 c butter
3/4 c sugar
3 eggs
1 dash(es) salt
1 c all purpose flour
3/4 c chocolate-flavored syrup, canned
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c chopped walnuts or pecans
GARNISH
pecans or walnuts
powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Cream together butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • 2. Add eggs, one at a time. Add salt.
  • 3. Stir in chocolate syrup, flour and vanilla. Add nuts and stir to blend well.
  • 4. Turn into greased and lightly floured 8-inch square microsafe pan or dish.
  • 5. Microwave at HIGH power for about 3 minutes. Let rest for 3 minutes.
  • 6. Microwave at HIGH power for another 3 minutes and let rest for 3 minutes.
  • 7. Finally microwave at HIGH power for 2 more minutes or until batter is set and done to your liking.
  • 8. Let rest in pan for a couple of minutes or until almost cool.
  • 9. Cut into squares. Remove from pan and garnish with nuts or powdered sugar.
