Chocolate Sheet Cake image

This recipe came from a friend of mine at Monroe Surgical Hospital.

Number Of Ingredients 14

3 Tbsp hershey's cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
2 eggs
2 c plain flour
2 c sugar
1 c water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 c buttermilk
1 c pecans, chopped
ICING
2 stick margarine
6 Tbsp milk
3 Tbsp hershey's cocoa

Steps:

  • 1. In a saucepan, mix one stick margarine, 3 tablespoons cocoa, and the water. Pour over flour and sugar. Mix.
  • 2. Add the eggs.
  • 3. Mix the baking soda and vanilla extract with the buttermilk. Add to the mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • 4. Melt remaining margarine, cocoa, powdered sugar, milk, and pecans together. Pour over hot cake. Spread icing fast before it hardens.
