CHOCOLATE NUT STRUDEL image

Number Of Ingredients 9

5 1/2 oz butter unsealed. Plus extra for greasing .
1 1/4 c mixed chopped nuts
4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
4 oz milk chocolate chopped
4 oz white chocolate, chopped
7 oz phyllo pastry
2 tbp corn syrup
1/2 c confectioners' sugar
Cream to serve

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375*. Grease a baking sheet with butter. Set aside 1 tbp of the nuts. Mix the three types of chocolate together. Place 1 sheet of phyllo on a dish towel. Melt the butter and brush the sheet of phyllo with the butter. Drizzle with a little syrup. Sprinkle some nuts and chocolate. Place another sheet of phyllo on top and repeat until all the nuts and chocolate is used up. Use the dish towel to help you roll up the strudel and place on the baking sheet. Drizzle with a little more syrup, and sprinkle with the reserved nuts. Bake for 20-25 min. If the nuts start to brown too much, cover the strudel with a piece of foil. Sprinkle the strudel with confectioner's sugar, slice, and eat warm with cream.
