Chocolate Fondue image

Every year during New Years, you can see me at home of with a few friends. A few warm snacks is great to have on hand. This year, not only will I celebrate New Years this way, but Valentines Day as well! Dust off that Fondue pot, cut up some snacks and dip away!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 c water
1/4 c sugar
1 c milk
2 bags (12oz) semisweet chocolate chips
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium saucepan, combine the cocoa powder with 1/2 cup water and cook over low heat, stirring or whisking constantly for 1 minute. Stir in the milk and sugar and bring to a simmer. Add the chocolate chips slowly, whisking in about 1 cup at a time until all has been combined. And vanilla and cook, stirring, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes.
  • 2. Transfer to fondue pot to keep warm. Serve the fondue with the suggested items below or your favorite dipping items.
  • 3. Dipping suggestions: Dried apricots Gala apples, cored and sliced Pretzel rods Marshmallows Banana slices Strawberries Cubed pound cake
