Chocolate Crinkles image

This recipe is from my moms Betty Crocker 1963 cooky book. These are great cookies.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 c vegetable oil
4 oz chocolate, unsweetened squares-melted
2 c granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 c powdered sugar
2 tsp baking powder

Steps:

  • 1. Mix oil, chocolate and sugar. Blend in one egg at a time until mixed well. Add vanilla. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Stir flour, baking powder and salt into oil mixture. Chill several hours or overnight.
  • 2. Heat oven to 350. Drop by teaspoonfuls of dough into powdered sugar. Roll in sugar; shape into balls. Place 2" apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Do not overbake!
