Chocolate and Bananas are two flavors that just belong together. My family cannot resist this pie. I often use a crumb crust as we just like that sweetness.

Steps:
- 1. Bake pastry shell per directions; set aside. Combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan; gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; boil and stir 3 minutes.
- 2. Remove from heat; blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into bowl; press plastic wrap directly onto surface cool to room temperature.
- 3. Cover bottom of cooled shell (or crumb crust) with small amount of filling. Arrange banana slices over filling; cover with remaining filling. Chill 3-4 hours or until firm. Garnish with sweetened whipped cream and banana slices if desired.
