3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1-1/2 cups milk
1 jar (2.5 oz.) sliced dried beef, chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
4 slices bread, toasted

Steps:

  • Melt butter in medium saucepan on low heat. Add flour and pepper; mix well. Cook 2 min. or until bubbly, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring constantly; cook 2 min. or until thickened.
  • Remove from heat; stir in meat and sour cream. Return to low heat; cook 1 to 2 min. or until heated through. (Do not boil.)
  • Serve over toast.
