CHIPITS NOEL CRISPS Recipe image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cup shortening (Crisco)
11/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
11/2 cups coconut
1 cup chopped red maraschino cherries, well drained
1/2 cup chopped green maraschino cherries, well drained

Steps:

  • Cream shortening with sugar. Beat in eggs and almond extract. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Mix in chocolate chips, coconut and cherries. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350˚F for 12 to 15 minutes.
