- Make sauce/marinade:.
- In a bowl, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic until smooth.
- Add beef and marinate for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoon cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water and 1/2 tsp garlic powder until smooth.
- Remove beef from marinade; add it to the cornstarch mix bowl and toss.
- In a large skillet or wok over medium high heat, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon veggie oil (and a dash of sesame oil) until beef reaches desired doneness; remove and keep warm.
- Stir-fry broccoli and onion in 1 tablespoon oil (and a dash of sesame oil) for 4-5 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
- Return beef to pan.
- Add meat marinade to the pan.
- Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
- Serve over rice.
