Chicken & Rice casserole image

Found this recipe in a What's Cooking Kraft magazine. Recipe has been changed over the last 20 years. You can use other vegetables. Peas and carrots, mixed vegetables, or cauliflower.

2 cup(s) skim milk
1/4 cup(s) salad dressing
1/2 teaspoon(s) dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
2 cup(s) minute rice uncooked
1 1/4 pound(s) skinnless chicken breasts
3 cup(s) broccoli
1 1/2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven at 375 F
  • Stir on milk, salad dressing, thyme, garlic powder in a shallow 3L or 13x9 casserole.
  • Add rice, chicken and broccoli.
  • Bake for 30 minutes and remove from oven.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, until melted and liquid is absorbed.
