Chicken and Rice Casserole image

This is a recipe from my mom. I'm sure there are probably lots of this type of recipe out there. Still, it's good and better yet, it's easy.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 c milk (1 or 2%)
1 c rice, instant white or brown
1/2 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
4-8 chicken pieces
salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • 2. In a large bowl, mix the soups, milk, and rice.
  • 3. Pour into an 8x12 casserole dish.
  • 4. Place lightly salted chicken pieces on top of the rice.
  • 5. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix over the top of the chicken pieces.
  • 6. Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil.
  • 7. Bake for one hour.
  • 8. Uncover the casserole and bake for another ten minutes.
