1 c unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
2/3 c granulated sugar
2 c all purpose flour, plus
2 Tbsp all purpose flour
2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  • 2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla extract.
  • 3. Mix in flour in small increments.
  • 4. Roll dough into balls; flatten on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 5. Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
