1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons shortening
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 (14 ounce) cans pie cherries, drained
2 cups flour
1 cup nuts, chopped
cherry juice
3/4 cup sugar
6 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and baking soda.
  • Add cherries, nuts and flour; mix well.
  • Put in greased and floured 13x9-inch glass dish.
  • Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
  • Blend together sauce ingredients.
  • Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Pour over cherry pudding.
  • Enjoy.
