Cherry Bon Bon Cookies image

These cookies are cute and taste great.

Number Of Ingredients 14

DOUGH
1/2 c unsalted butter
3/4 c powdered sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c all purpose flour ( i use unbleached)
1/8 tsp salt
GLAZE
1 c powdered sugar
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
2 Tbsp cherry juice
maraschino cherries
OTHER
1/4 c chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Cream butter & sugar
  • 2. Add milk & vanilla, stir.
  • 3. Add the combined flour & salt to form soft dough.
  • 4. Divide into 24 equal portions.
  • 5. Shape dough around cherries to form a ball(optional:place 2 chocolate chips into each cherry)
  • 6. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350' for about 15 minutes.
  • 7. Combine glaze ingredients & drizzle over cooled cookies.
