Cashew Peanut Butter Bars image

Sweetened condensed milk and marshmallows with the cashews gives these bars a new twist on peanut butter bars! Recipe from Jif and tweaked by me..

Number Of Ingredients 10

CRUST:
1 package(s) refrigerated sugar cookie dough, room temperature
MIDDLE:
3 cup(s) mini marshmallows
TOPPING:
14 ounce(s) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup(s) creamy peanut butter
3 ounce(s) can chow mein noodles, more or less
1 cup(s) chopped cashews
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350^. Open cookie roll and press dough evenly into bottom of lightly buttered 9x13-inch baking pan. I use the bottom of a glass to press out evenly. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Top evenly with the marshmallows bake for 2 minutes more or until marshmallows puff. Remove from oven and cool.
  • Combine in a heavy saucepan the sweetened condensed milk, and peanut butter over medium heat; cook and stir until slightly thickened, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat stir in chow mein noodles,cashews and vanilla. Spread evenly over marshmallows. Cool then chill. Cut into bars..These are so delicious!! Enjoy!
