Steps:
- 1.Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. 2.The second thing to do is cook the chopped oil and brown sugar onions in a large skillet, stirring the mixture for about 3 minutes. Add the water and cook and stir until the onions are tender and start to turn a golden brown - another 5 minutes. Allow the onions to cool a bit. 3.While you are cooking the onions, you can also stir the following ingredients in a medium-sized bowl: eggs, milk, cheese, salt and pepper. Once that is mixed, take the cooled onion mix and stir into the egg mixture and set aside. 4.Next, using a 3-inch round cookie cutter (or large glass if you don't have one), cut the pie crusts into rounds. Any left over pie crust, simply roll out and cut rounds. 5.Place each of your rounds in medium muffin cups - shaping to fit the bottom and pressing about 1/2-inch up the side of each cup. 6.Here's the fun part, spoon about 2 Tablespoons of your caramelized onion mixture into each pie crust cup. Then, bake the cups for about 20 minutes or until inserting a knife in the center of the tart comes out nice and clean. Cool the tarts in the muffin cups for 5 minutes and then remove and serve if you are serving them right away. Otherwise, store them for up to one day and reheat when you are ready to serve
