Caramel Frosting image

I got this recipe out of one of our local church cookbooks. This frosting is quick and easy to make. It makes a lot of frosting.

Yield 1 large cake

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
3 cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Bring brown sugar, margarine, and milk to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.
  • Cool for 30 minutes.
  • Add confectioners sugar and beat until smooth.
  • Spread on cake.
  • This makes enough frosting for a large cake.
