- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan. In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 3/4 cup margarine and eggs beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Stir in apples, nuts and raisins. Pour batter into greased and floured pan.Bake at 350°F. for 30 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.In small bowl, blend all frosting ingredients, adding enough milk for desired spreading consistency. Spread over cooled cake.HIGH ALTITUCE - Above 3,500 feet: Decrease brown sugar to 1 cup.
