CANDY APPLE SALAD image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 Tbl flour
1/2 cup sugar
8 ounce can crushed pineapple in its own juice
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp white wine vinegar
8 ounce Cool Whip, thawed
4 cups chopped Granny Smith apples (4-5 apples)
1 cup salted peanuts, chopped

Steps:

  • In medium saucepan, combine flour, sugar, pineapple with juice, egg and vinegar. Stir well and cook over medium heat until thick, stirring regularly. Refrigerate overnight or until cooled completely. Fold thawed Cool Whip into pineapple sauce. Chop apples into bite-size pieces (no need to peel) and add to mixture. Fold in 1/2 cup chopped peanuts.
