- Brush the yams clean with a vegetable brush. In the 2 QT saucepan, cook the yams waterless, about 20 minutes. In a mixing bowl, combine yams, brown sugar and cinnamon. Mash or whip, with an electric mixer, to desired texture. To serve, top with marshmallow fudge and peppermint leaf.
