Canape Butter Tarts image

You're 10 minutes away from an irrestible treat with the flavor of brown sugar, butter and creamy Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk.

Number Of Ingredients 8

24 frozen tart shells
1 (300 ml) can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (regular or fat-free)
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 egg, well beaten
1 pinch cinnamon (optional)
2/3 cup golden raisin

Steps:

  • Remove tart shells from freezer and arrange on 2 baking sheets. Let thaw 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, egg and cinnamon. Stir in raisins. Pour evenly into tart shells.
  • Bake in preheated oven (375F) for 18 minutes or until center is just set and pastry is golden. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • For plump soft textured raisins pour a little boiling water over raisins. Let stand 3-4 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
