For the caliente tequila:
15 Japanese Chile Pods
1 liter bottle of Luna Azul Reposado or 100% Agave Reposado tequila
For the sweet n sour mix:
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup pure cane sugar
1 1/4 cups lime juice
For the margarita mix:
1 1/2 ounces Luna Azul Reposado Tequila
3/4 ounce Caliente Tequila
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
4 ounces home made sweet n sour
Juice from 1/4 of an orange

Steps:

  • To make caliente tequila: Place Japanese chile pods in a 1 liter bottle chosen tequila. Set aside and wait for 3 weeks. Note: The longer it macerates the spicier the tequila gets. This tequila makes great Bloody Marias or for the daring person a great shot. To make sweet n sour mix: Combine water and sugar in a pot and simmer until sugar has dissolved. Chill liquid and then add lime juice. To make caliente margarita: Combine the tequilas, triple sec, sweet n sour mix, and orange juice and stir. Serve over ice with a salted rim and a chile for garnish.
